I'm astounded by the 1 star reviews!! I have been purchasing, using and sending Amazon gift cards for years. And, I've never encountered any type of problem, on the sending and/or receiving end.
I LOVE them! I can send them to family members for any occasion and they can purchase whatever they want. All of my family has created Wish Lists on Amazon. I do 95% of my Christmas shopping (and birthday shopping) on Amazon every year. The other 5% are things that are unavailable on Amazon. But, my family members can still add them to their wish lists, so I still know what they'd like to receive. I just purchase it wherever and then advise their Amazon wish list that I purchased it somewhere else. And, I use Amazon Gift Cards to round out purchases and for friends who don't have wish lists. Amazon is the first place I go for everything!!!!!!
